Frances (Dimples) Skaggs, 89, of Galena passed away peacefully Monday, September 18, 2017, with her family by her side. 

Dimples was born December 17, 1927 the daughter of Francis (Dusty) and Margureite (Hynes) Fields.  She married Lyle Skaggs on May 8, 1946, they celebrated 66 wonderful years of marriage before Lyle passed away on June 11, 2012.

Dimples was a woman of many diverse talents and she took much joy and pleasure in learning new ones.  She enjoyed working in her flower gardens, shopping with "the girls", going out to lunch, traveling and always being dressed up for wherever the day may take her.  She was a strong woman who always spoke her mind, even if it wasn't what you wanted to hear.  Dimples was a special lady who loved God, her family and her friends above all else. 

Surviving are her 2 daughters, Tanna (Dick) Thole, of Galena, Carla (Gary) Stadel, of Schapville, her son, Dale (Danita) Skaggs, of East Dubuque, son-in-law, Jim Hill of California; 10 grandchildren, Rhonda Thole, Sherrie (Mike) Keating, Ron (Beth) Thole, Rich (Tracy) Thole, Mike (Katie) Thole, Ryan (Kara) Stadel, Paul (Maggie) Stadel, Mark (Tara) Stadel, Colton and Colby Skaggs; 14 great-grandchildren, and sisters, Katherine Symons and Mary (Richard) Emerson. 

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Lyle, her daughter Hazel, 2 sister-in-laws, Leola Redington and Gladys Redington, and 4 brother-in- laws, Lloyd Skaggs, Robert Symons, Clarence and Carl Redington.
